I bought 2 to play with. Now they are up to $35+ from Tigerdirect and Seagate w/ coupon.
Turns out they are Seagate branded version of Pogoplug ( http://pogoplug.com/ ).
You can definitely use it as a home NAS. You can connect up to 3 external drives over USB 2.0.

Looks interesting. But I think I finally decided to just turn my existing linux server into my NAS. If I ever get time to do it that is. :P
