Thanks. My brother got me something similar before. There is one with two hard drive ports on it. I think the one with two ports would be more useful.

Interesting, I didn't know they have dual port ones.

I wonder if the dual ones get better transfer rate over the interconnect vs 2 drives connected over USB.

I don't know . . . But it should reduce the amount of power supplies and wires. More convenient for JBOD, etc.
